Council Approves Construction Contract for next Phase of South Staples Street Reconstruction

The Project includes new concrete pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalks, ADA ramps, pavement markings, upgrading traffic signalization, and major utility improvements including upgraded storm sewer, new water mains and new wastewater mains along the roadway corridor.

The City of Corpus Christi adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 4.69 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $16.87.
