Interior Remodeling and Foundation Repairs, Room Additions/Enclosures, Garages, Carports, Storage Buildings, Porches, Gazebos, Patio Covers, Decks and Docks, Swimming pools and Spas
A complete submission includes:
- Residential Building Permit Application (Form 1003)
- Elevation Certificate if within a flood plain. (If you are unsure, please contact our office for the most recent FEMA information regarding your property)
- Declared Occupancy Use and Type of Construction
- Site Plan
- Floor Plan, existing and proposed
- Foundation Plan
- Completed Texas Department of Insurance WPI-1 Form from Windstorm Engineer/Inspector that will be inspecting and/or responsible for inspecting the structure for windstorm compliance https://www.tdi.texas.gov/forms/form13windstorm.html
- Sealed windstorm plan for the entire new construction
- Beachfront Construction Projects may be required to obtain a Beachfront Construction Certificate (Form 6001) or a Dune Protection Permit for Kleberg County (Form 6002)

Roofing and Siding Permits
A complete submission includes:
Residential Building Permit Application (Form 1003)
- A detailed scope of work which identifies roofing/siding method and materials
- Completed Texas Department of Insurance WPI-1 Form from Windstorm Engineer/Inspector that will be inspecting and/or responsible for inspecting the structure for windstorm compliance https://www.tdi.texas.gov/forms/form13windstorm.html
