BIOGRAPHY
Michael T. Hunter is an at-large member of the Corpus Christi City Council. Hunter was appointed to the council on March 8, 2015. He fills the vacancy left by Lillian Riojas, who resigned from the council in February, 2015. Hunter’s previous experience includes working as an account executive at Borden Insurance. He is the son of State Representative Todd Hunter.

The City of Corpus Christi adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 4.69 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $16.87.
