The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department’s Aquatics Program staff encourages residents to build a life-long passion for swimming while enjoying the water. The Great Pumpkin Rescue at Oso Pool

Join us to celebrate the fall holiday! We invite KIDS to a fun-filled afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Oso Pool, located at 1109 Bernice Drive. Kids ages 5 to 17 will take the plunge and rescue a pumpkin from the pool. The dives will be set for 50 kids each hour, starting at 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m.
Entertainment will include pumpkin decorating, music, and fun open swim. Spectators are welcome poolside while the kids rescue their pumpkins. Only registered children will be allowed in the pool. We will open the pool for everyone after all the pumpkins are recused. We want to thank H-E-B for generously donating the 150 pumpkins for this event.
La Sabroscita's food truck will be on-site, serving delicious food and drinks for purchase. At the start of each hour, the first 25 snow cones will be complimentary.
► PRE-REGISTATION: We are accepting online pre-registration for up to 50 kids per hour. Each child can only participate in one pumpkin rescue. Registration will remain open until noon on Saturday, September 28, or when all spots are filled. If you need assistance with registration, please call (361) 826-3414.

Swim Lessons
Through our swim lessons, we teach swimmers of all ages and skill levels to master swimming while teaching the importance of water safety. Please view ‘Swim Lesson Levels’ for more details on the structure of our learn-to-swim program. Group swimming lessons are designed for children ages 3 to 14. Teen/Adult, as well as Parent & Toddler classes, are also available. Level placement is based on the student’s swimming ability, age, and date registered. Swimmers ‘graduate’ to more advanced levels once they are competent in all the skills covered in the previous level.

YEAR-ROUND POOLS: Collier Pool and Corpus Christi Natatorium
The Natatorium is our indoor OLYMPIC-STYLE POOL facility designed to host competitive swim meets. The pool has many lanes for lap swimming, making it ideal for conditioning. It now has a large, tiled pool floor with lane stripes to guide the path for swimmers. Enjoy the warm activity pool or jump into the deep end from one of two 1-meter diving boards available! We invite you to come for a tour and book a fun party for your guests to have an extraordinary experience.
Collier Pool is our outdoor pool, which features the BIG BUCKET DUNK! Enjoy the beach-inspired entry, experience the splash of the big bucket, fun water features, picnic tables, relax under the gulf streams, or jump into the deep end! The pool also includes six lanes and is heated during cold weather for year-round lap swimming.

SUMMER POOLS: H-E-B Pool, Oso Pool, West Guth Pool, and Greenwood Pool (temporarily closed for maintenance)
We have some exciting new concept pools with fun features to consider. Our H-E-B Pool is a wonderful choice for younger and inexperienced swimmers with its zero-depth entry pool, fun water features, cabanas, and a party-concession area. The fun water features encourage children to splash in the water and are perfect for play! Collier Pool is an outdoor pool that offers lap swim and several play features. The West Guth Pool features a zero-depth entry pool, climbing wall, and splash water features. We invite you to come and check out these new pools and enjoy time in the pool with family and friends!

Corpus Christi offers five splash pads to delight many children. Each facility offers different interactive water features, so check them all out. The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department invites you to come out, get wet, and let the fun begin!
All the splash pads are FREE for everyone to enjoy!
