The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department offers a variety of venues for your special event, parade or march. Our Special Events Team will work with the event organizer to navigate all the necessary arrangements and requirements for a seamless and wonderful experience for the organizer and event guests.

Run/Walks, Sporting Events, Festivals, Parades and Marches
Are you responsible for organizing a 5K run or walk to create awareness and to raise funds for a cause? Is your organization wanting to host a holiday street festival or a music festival? Or perhaps you would like to plan a parade along our bayfront. Our Special Events Team will help you get started. Simply click on the link below to submit a preliminary form. Our team will review the request. Once approved, an email will be sent with a link to complete the special event application. The special event application will be forwarded to the appropriate departments for approval. You will be notified once the application is approved. The special event permit will be issued prior to the event.

- There is a non-refundable $50 Special Events Application fee.

Weddings & Celebrations
Getting married? Having a family celebration? We can help you find that special place. There are many Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department venues available to help make your event unforgettable.
► Historic Heritage Park’s Victorian-style homes make it a very popular choice of venue for many brides-to-be. The park includes the Galvan House, the Courtyard, and the Lytton Memorial Rose Garden which are all available for private rentals. For more details, call (361) 826-3414.
► Or perhaps you’re planning an intimate barefoot beach wedding ceremony for two or a large ceremony for 100? We can accommodate both. Weddings and celebrations do not require a Special Event Application. Simply call the number provided above to set an appointment to get started. We will guide you through the process.
