The City of Corpus Christi wants everyone to stay safe and healthy while celebrating Halloween! This time of year is adored by many and is sometimes seen as the kick-off to the holiday season. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Corpus Christi - Nueces County Public Health District (CCNCPHD) advises for residents to celebrate this year at home; however, to help preserve the magic of Halloween and keep "spooktacular" traditions alive, here are a few health and safety tips.

Do Icon  DO's

AT HOME:

  • DO Find creative ways to distribute treats contactless
  • DO Goodie bags, Trash grabber, or PVC pipe extension to pass out treats
  • DO Create Visual social distancing decorations to aid in social distancing
  • DO Activities outside where air circulates
  • DO Wipe the door-bell after every use

 

IF YOU DECIDE TO GO OUT:

  • DO Evaluate the risk
  • DO Wear the appropriate mask
  • DO Always stay 6 feet away from others
  • DO Find alternate ways to celebrate

  • DO NOT Directly hand-out treats
  • DO NOT Allow large groups of people to gather outside
  • DO NOT Create bottle necks (one way in and one way out)
  • DO NOT Pass out candy/treats if you, or anyone in your household, are sick, quarantined or isolated
  • DO NOT Pass out homemade treats
  • DO NOT Host a party

 

IF YOU DECIDE TO GO OUT:

  • DO NOT Go in large groups (go in small groups)
  • DO NOT Approach a crowded house (wait for crowd to dissipate)
  • DO NOT Trick-or-treat if you are sick, quarantined, or isolated (stay at home and find creative ways like a spooky candy hunt for your household)
