Effective communication is one of the most important elements of emergency management. Although this type of communication is referred to as crisis “response,” city leaders must begin preparing and strategically communicating with stakeholders long before a crisis occurs. In this interactive session, participants will learn the key skills needed for earning the trust and cooperation of their stakeholders during emergency situations.

If time allows, participants will be led in a mini tabletop exercise focused on applying base crisis response strategies.
