Introduction to Junior Lifeguarding
► July 30–August 2, 2019
This FREE course is for ages 12-15 and will be taught at the Corpus Christi Natatorium (map). Students will learn about what it will take to become a lifeguard. This is not a learn-to-swim class and it is not for certification. We are only accepting 10 students, so sign up now! ► View the flyer for more details. ► Register online
Sports Programs
We offer a wide variety of sports camps and leagues.
- Sports Camps (for ages 6-17; eleven different sports offered)
- Basketball League (for ages 6-17)
- High School Varsity Basketball League (boys division & girls division)
- High School Baseball League (for 18 & Under; 16 & Under)
- High School Volleyball League (for ages 14-17)
- Indoor Soccer League (for ages 7-14)
- Mini-Dribbler Co-Ed Basketball League (for ages 3-5)
Swim Lessons
This program is offered for ages six months to adult during the summer season from June 4–August 9 at two city pools. We offer group and private lessons. Group swimming lessons are designed for children ages 3-12. Teen/Adult, as well as Parent & Toddler classes, are also available. Read more about our aquatic programs and services.
Latchkey Camps
We are offering our premier recreation camps for ages 5-13, which run Monday–Friday, June 10–August 2, from 7:30am–6pm (closed July 4), at six sites. Registration is ongoing throughout the summer, as space permits. Call (361) 826-3499 for availability.
S.P.A.R.K.
Add S.P.A.R.K. (Summer Program and Recreation for Kids) to your child's summer with our open campus recreation program offered for ages 6-16, Monday–Friday, June 10–August 2, from 11am–4pm, at five sites. Online registration is ongoing throughout the summer.
O.S.O. Guardians Camps
Have your child Observer Science Outdoors! These camps are designed for ages 5-10 and will run June 17–August 9, from 9am–12pm, at the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve. Camps will include a field trip, hands-on science, and interactive field experiences. Learn more about the preserve.
Coastal Chronicles Teen Camp
Join us for a week of field trips that includes fishing, kayaking, exploring and beachcombing! This camp is for ages 11-15 and will run July 15–19, from 8:15am–12:15pm. Campers will meet at the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve. Learn more about the preserve.

Lunch's On Us! Program
Lunch and afternoon snacks are provided FREE of charge for all youth ages 1-18 at several locations throughout the city. Lunch is served from 11:30am–1pm and an afternoon snack from 2:30pm–3:30pm, Monday–Friday, from June 10–August 2. Registration is not required for this program. Bay Jammin' Concert & Cinema Series
We invite everyone to enjoy our popular annual summer series at Cole Park Amphitheater which is set along our waterfront against our Corpus Christi Bay with breathtaking views. It’s FREE for everyone, so bring your lawn chairs, blankets and enjoy evenings of great entertainment with family and friends. Read more about the series.
