On November 3, 2020, Bond 2020 Park Projects were approved with 73% approval by voters. This shows the community’s confidence in the organization's capabilities to follow through on projects and improvements. 

The City of Corpus Christi compiled a project list for Bond 2020 from needs identified, in part, in the City’s 10-year Capital Improvement Plan. The projects include citywide development projects to enhance city parks. The Parks & Recreation staff recommended projects utilizing the following guiding principles:

• Project Continuation
• Increase Connectivity
• Enhance Functionality of Recreational Areas
• Major Signature Park Projects as opposed to Maintenance Projects
