The Xeriscape Learning Center and Design Garden is located at 1200 N. Chaparral. The garden serves as an extension to the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History, which has an annual attendance of 120,000 visitors each year. Entrance to the garden is free.

Come Visit the Garden!
Take IH 37; exit on North Chaparral Boulevard. Travel past the City's Heritage Park area to the Museum of Science and History, 1900 N. Chaparral. Parking is available across the garden or under the Harbor Bridge.

You're invited to visit Corpus Christi's award-winning Xeriscape garden. The garden will leave you inspired to take some genuine ideas into your own backyard. A stroll through the paved sidewalks lead to two gazebos that allow young and old to learn about our precious water resources through interactive displays. The water story gazebo offers educational information on the Coastal Bend's water resources with a topographical map equipped with sound and light at the touch of a button. The children's gazebo features numerous interactive displays to encourage awareness of our community's delicate environment. You'll find exhibits on the seven principles of Xeriscape to get you started on your own garden.
