PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
Improve and enhance the quality of life of the citizens of Corpus Christi, with the primary emphasis on the lives of low and moderate income families and individuals residing in designated areas throughout the city
- Elimination of slums and blight and deterioration of community facilities
- Elimination of conditions detrimental to health, safety and public welfare
- Conservation and expansion of housing
- Rational utilization of land and other national resources
- Reduction of isolation of income groups within communities and promotion of diversity and vitality
- Restoration and preservation of special properties for historic, architectural or aesthetic reasons
- Economic development, with emphasis on assisting low and moderate income individuals
