The information provided by an applicant on the application and other information submitted will be investigated to verify the applicant's record and qualifications for employment. Applicant must list all employment (including military service) for the past 10 years or for the last 2 employers, whichever is greater, begin with most recent position and work back. Applicant must explain any gaps in employment greater than 6 months (ie: unemployed, enrolled in school, military, retirement, etc...); include start and end dates with a brief explanation. Falsification or omission of information shall be grounds for rejection of an application; and may be grounds for dismissal for current city employees. |
DRIVING RECORD REQUIREMENTS |
| The City of Corpus Christi shall verify the driving record of the finalists for positions which require a driver's license. Any applicant will be disqualified from consideration of initial employment, or promotion to any position with the City of Corpus Christi, which requires a drivers license, if he/she has any of the following: |

COMPENSATION |
Upon initial appointment, the pay level will be determined in accordance with Article III Employee Classification and Compensation system of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances; chapter 39, Personnel. |

ESSENTIAL SERVICES NOTICE |
| All Employees of the City of Corpus Christi hold essential services positions and, as part of the City's Emergency Response Team, provide services in the course and scope of their employment for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations that threaten the safety of Corpus Christi's citizens. All City employees may be required to work immediately before, during, or immediately after an emergency or disaster as required of the circumstances, unless a waiver is requested and approved. |
